Hi,
I have Quicken De Luxe 2005. I cannot download the Stocks Quotes. I am told that the symbols are not recognize. For instance, BCE a well known symbol is not recognize. Any ideas ?

I added BCE to my watch list and it found and downloaded the prices fine for the last 5 days.
Thank you Andrew. How did you entered it in your watch list.

I think this is a US vs. Canada issue. In the canadian Quicken, one has to include an exchange to a stock. Here in the US, there is no need for that. So in our (US) Quicken, just "BCE" suffices. You may have to include a suffix to identify the exchange.
Investing-->Security List-->New--->(enter info, including symbol and check 'Include in Watch List' box.) ; but as Mike sez, might need to put an exchange after your symbol as in "BCE.something".
