Anyone know how to turn off the registration nag pop-up? I would like to try before I register.

Hold down the Ctrl + Shift keys on the keyboard, and go to the Online menu. From the Online menu choose One Step Update. After selecting One Step Update, with Ctrl + Shift still held down, you will receive a message that states, "You will no longer be prompted for registration."
You won't be able to use the online services, though.
