In Q2008 R9 I am having a problem with the balance of a loan not being reflected in its linked asset.
The loan name will appear in the Mortgage Account drop-down list under Asset-Overview-Account details, but the loan balance is not reflected in the Equity graph, neither in the liability calculation nor in the bar graph. For example, if I do a refi and payoff my old loan, the liability value goes to zero, and the new loan debt is not reflected.
This appears hit and miss, and I cannot see any pattern or difference between the loans that do show and the ones that don't; including whether or not I delete the original Opening Balance created by the Loan Wizard, or whether I start with my own entries.
I have looked at some of the related postings here, but have not seen this issue directly, although some of the solutions posted for similar problems have made no difference. I have run Validation and Super-Validation to no effect.
Anyone have an idea what I am missing? TIA
