While viewing my accounts, I usually see "Current Balance" and "Ending Balance:"

How are you getting to that screen?
Click that Options button & see if you find a line for "Current Balance". If so, make sure "Current Balance" is selected.
I just created a view, with "All Accounts" in it.
As far as I know, there is no option to display "Current Balance."
Again, sometimes "Current Balance" shows-up, sometimes it doesn't.

Current Balance shows up when it is different than Ending Balance.
I kinda had the feeling that you might have the answer.
