Another case of jumping to conclusions (and failing to do much, if any, research) - it's highly unlikely that there is anything wrong with the original poster's Quicken display.

The Home tab display is treating Current Balance/Ending Balance just as the account registers do: when the current balance is the same as the ending balance, only the ending balance is displayed.

As confirmed by the original poster's own observations: "Now the heading says Ending Balance, but the value is the Current Balance." The "value" is also the Ending Balance.

[On a related note: virtually everything appearing on the Quicken Home tab is customizable, including the names of the Home tab "views". Users should not assume that every other user has the same Home tab layout as they do. I have no "Main View" on my Quicken Home tab; and it's been so long since I did, that I had to think quite a bit before realizing what the op was referring to. It's best to use terms that are as unambiguous as possible when describing a problem to others you are asking for help.]

Oops. I see now that the op has come back to say he does have future transactions.

I've tested with two releases of Quicken (R32.10 and R26.17) and neither exhibit the problem claimed by the op.

The op should do more research and supply more corroborating evidence (and include the Quicken Edition and Release being used).

One (albeit probably small) possibility is the that the account(s) with future transactions are hidden.

Also, Reminders being "shown" in a register (those are Reminders that have NOT been Entered in the register) do not count.

Neither, apparently, do future dated "investment" transactions (such as Buy or Reinvest); future dated Deposits or Withdrawal (Cash-type) transactions in investment accounts DO count.

There's another possibility.

The criteria for displaying both the ending balance AND the current balance is that the two balances are not the same.

It does not matter whether you have any future dated transactions, it only matters whether the ending balance and the current balance are equal. If you have future dated transactions whose net amount is zero, the ending balance will equal the current balance and the current balance will not be displayed.

If even one account displayed in the "All Transactions" Home tab widget has an Ending balance that does not equal its Current balance, the Current balance column should appear in the widget.

Here's a way to get more potentially useful information:

- Create a test account (this can be deleted when no longer needed).

- Enter one future dated, non-zero, transaction in the test account.

- Examine the Home tab "All Accounts" widget.

If the All Accounts widget now displays both Ending and Current balances; then it's almost certain that none of the other accounts (previously) displayed in the All Accounts widget had Ending balances that differed from their Current balances.
