Transaction Sequence

The original poster in the above discussion has provided no evidence to indicate how he arrived at the (false) conclusion that Quicken has no transaction sequence that puts deposits ahead of withdrawals for transactions with the same date. The op also failed to specify the account type involved or the Quicken year-version and release.

When a Quicken for Windows non-investment account is sorted by transaction date (the register column with the heading "Date"), deposit transactions will appear before withdrawal transactions for the same date.

I have tested with multiple different year versions of Quicken for Windows and multiple releases of those year versions and every single one works as I described above ... including the most current year and release, Q2020 R28.18.

[The above treatment only applies to non-investment account registers; it does not apply to Quicken reports, or to investment account Transaction Lists (the investment account equivalent of "registers". And I am assuming that every Quicken Edition (from Starter through Home, Business & Rental Property) acts the same as my Home, Business & Rental Property.] [The second user in the above discussion should have started his own discussion, since he is not using the same Quicken as the original poster ... which is Quicken for Windows. My response applies to Quicken for Windows; I have no idea how Quicken for the Mac works.]
