I've just installed Quicken Premier 2009. I'm running short of room on my hard drive and want to clean out some of the now 4 and 5 year old files. What do I need to watch out for as I clean out the quicken directory? What must I keep; what can I discard? thanks Don
Question about deleting old files

Your choice, of course, but if were me, I wouldn't do what you want to do. I would keep all the old data, and if you are short of disk space, Quicken probably represents only a very small portion of the problem. Even if you delete old Quicken data, you will almost certainly very soon find yourself short of disk space again, for some other reason.
To me, the best solution to shortness of disk space is to replace your drive with a larger one or add a second drive. Fortunately, hard drives are extremely inexpensive at the moment.
