2006 Premier Flickers

I just installed 2006 Premier. It looks like it's going to be a great program, but when I hover over a "split", or the paperclip to add an attachment, or try to view the "what's new in 2006" screen everything "flickers" for several seconds before it is readable/usable. I tried rebooting, but still have the problem. Any ideas?

What release are you running? After I applied the R3 update, I noticed that periodically windows will flash, and when the flashing stops, data fields are empty. (This typically happens in Portfolio View, but it has happened on the other Investing Center tabs, too.) If I click over to another tab and then click back, the window displays normally. When this happens, if I exit Quicken and restart it, the problem goes away. I wouldn't say what I've observed is "flickering," but just thought I'd share my experience. If you are not at R3, I would definitely install the update. This is the only problem that I've observed, and it's rare.

Regards,

Margaret

I am running R3. Maybe R4 will correct the problem.....but I'd sure like to correct it NOW. It's really annoying !

Not knowing your system specs; OS, ram, update status, ..., it is very hard to diagnose anything. But a few basic things to check: up date your OS updates/patches, check for a video driver update (this can cause problems with programs), is your ram reliable and seated well this goes for the video card also. Another thing is your monitor, although you would notice symptoms in other programs, how old is it? Have you installed any new hardware/software recently?

Maybe this will get you started.

My system is a 6 month old Dell Dimension 8400 Pentium 4 630 with HT (3 GHz,

800FSB) running Microsoft Windows XP Professional. I have 1 GB dual channel DDR2 SDRam at 400 MHz, 128 MB PCI express video card, and a 160 GB hard drive. The monitor is a 17" Dell flat panel. I'm configured to automatically update whatever/whenever. I only have the problem in Quicken Premier 6, which is the only recently installed software....and it started happening immediately.
