Quicken 2004 Help

Dec 09, 2005 8 Replies

I'm running Quicken 2004, so when I click on Spending, then my Checking Account, it brings up the two things at the bottom..

Download Transactions & Scheduled Transactions.....

HOW CAN I STOP THESES FROM COMING UP (so that the checking register goes all the way to the bottom (I would guess)) I do not ever download from my checking account on-line so I would like this to go away. What would be the best place to post this, since I have posted it before with no help?

Can anyone HELP me please..

YOU CANNOT STOP IT FROM COMING UP

Thank You, but not what I wanted to hear... Maybe Hide?

Not hide either.

You are never going to get the register to go all the way to the bottom of the Quicken window; the closest you can come is to buy Q2006 which will offer you a trade-off: you can cause the register to take up all the "available" Quicken window real-estate; no Account bar, no Toolbar, no Download or Scheduled Transaction tabs. The gain is not great, on my 15" laptop screen, making the register full-window gets about one half inch of register at the bottom where the Download tab would normally appear, enough for two 2-line transactions (you gain around the same space at the top of the screen). But even in this mode, there is real-estate at the bottom of the window that is not available to display register transactions (it's used for the account balances and for holding task icons for reports and lists).

Thank You John, maybe I'll check into 2006. What I really wanted was the Download or Scheduled Transaction tabs to just go away even if the check book didn't go to the bottom, oh well that's life.....

thanks, and it's now in the mail to me 2006....

I was just poking around in Q2006 and happened to notice an option I do not remember seeing before. When a register is open, the "Options" menu gives you the ability to "hide" the "Downloaded/Scheduled" tabs. I think that is what you were asking for originally. Then I checked Q2005 and the option is there too; guess I just haven't been paying close enough attention.
