Quicken 2004 R2 printing

Apr 10, 2005 2 Replies

Hi,

Quicken sent me the above as they are bailing out of the UK market. Very generous I though as I was using 98. Installed it and find that the printing does not work. Unable to set a printer or print anything out. Are they taking the p**s or what???

TIA Please remove obvious from email address if emailing.

OK,

As no one managed to reply in this newsgroup, I called Quicken support and there is a known bug, so for the benefit of anyone else who has this problem or might in the future.......

The printer name must not have the word 'on' in it. If it has then you do not even get the dialogue to select a printer. Remove this and it you may select printers and settings as normal.

This would only seem to apply to XP Home (perhaps XP Pro??), as I installed it on a W2K m/c and the print dialogue worked fine even with the 'on' in the name.

Please remove obvious from email address if emailing.

Glad you got it fixed. And thanks for posting the solution in case anyone else runs into it sometime.
