Quicken 2005 Forced Upgrade II

For the moment, quicken is unable to download transactions. I called the bank and they told me many banks are affected because the middleman, CheckFree, is having problems.

So, in order to turn off features by the end of April, Quicken would have to do a deal with CheckFree where they agree not to honor requests from Q2005 or earlier.

Checkfree doesn't play any part in the download process. They may supply Checkfree transactions, but they are not the middleman for anything.

All Direct Connect downloads and Web Connect updates pass through Intuit servers; so all Intuit needs to do is to stop passing downloads through to Q2005 users. Intuit won't have to make any deals with anyone else to accomplish this.
