quicken 2006 H@B for $33.95 on Amazon legit?

ON Amazon.com I am seeing a price for $33.95 for Quicken 2006 Home and Business. These vendors appear below J&R and Amazon.com prices which are showing as $79.95 and $80.99 respectively. The sellers that are showing up for these low prices are asenashop-com, turboport, valuepinte, spaydz, etc and they are all saying ?Brand new never used, never registered factory- sealed, manual included on CD and on and on.

Anybody have any experience with these vendors? Is this legitimate?

TIA

Check eBay. The prices are even better there. I've bought Quicken on eBay for years, always waiting a few month after a new version is released for the prices drop. No problem.

I agree.

I don't know anything about Amazon, but eBay has ratings for its sellers, and I always look for sellers with good, and well established, ratings.

I also look for "Brand new never used, never registered".

I have bought two Quicken versions there and so has my brother ... have never had any problem.

Is this deal listed on the site? The lowest priced version I can see there is Quicken Deluxe 2006 at $24.99.¹

Good advice from John Pollard.

I'd add one thing... be very careful that you buy the version you really want. Recently, I very nearly bought Quicken '05 when I wanted '06 because I was careless in reading the listings.

In fact, almost all of the software on this site is one version downrev. Caveat emptor!!

Still, it's good to know that such sites exist. And, if you don't need the latest-and-greatest, then it's a great deal for legit software, AND it's better for the environment.

I got my copy of Quicken H&B 2006 on eBay for $23.88 including shipping. No box or UPC code (so I couldn't get any rebates), just the CD. But it came promptly and is working fine.

I'm a little paranoid about buying financial software from someone on Ebay. It seems like they could put something on the CD that would allow them to access my finances through Quicken. How can they sell something so cheaply? The prices are often lower than they would be even including the rebates.
