Here is a workaround. Please backup first.
Create a Cash Account called ImportOnly.
Import the .qif file to the Account called ImportOnly.
Select the imported transactions.
Right Click.
click Move Transactions
Select the account to move them to.
It's a little tedious, but for those of you who have written software that exports to qif files so that quicken can import it, this beats rewriting your software.
Intuit has really gone to the dogs. What a bunch of money sucking grubby creeps.
