Bob - Is your post missing content, or are you commenting on the lack of any new function or fixes in the R5 fix?
Andrew, I was on my way out, and just wanted to post a heads up for anyone who wanted to do a OSU and get R5. No other "hidden" message behind the blank post ;-)

I installed it. Quicken said I had to reboot. When I did all my local desktop settings had been trashed.
Quicken seems to work OK. Don't see any difference.
I gotcha! You might consider using a "(nm)" in the end of the subject line for this sort of thing if there is no text in the body...means "no more". I really thought you hit enter by mistake! No harm, no foul.
I certaintly don't want to encourage confusion ... but I had no problem understanding the meaning of Bob's post.
Well, must have been just me. Sorry Bob!

Like they said, I quit ther applications, then installed. Didn't get a reboot message and all seems fine here.
I installed R5 without issue on my XP/pro laptop. My main PC is awaiting a new HD (to replace a failed one) and I will install Win 7 HP/64 on it. Hopefully will have no issues with Q10D and Win 7.

I'm running Q10D on Windows 7 / 64 bit with no issues or problems.
I am a newbie and can someone tell me - I am on Quicken Premier R3. How do I get release 5 please?
You can just run the One Step update and it will download for you or go to
Quicken 2010 Manual Updates Updated: 1/15/2010 | Article ID: 7526
formatting link
You can then download the patch an manually install it. I usually turn off the antivirus and firewall before I install the patch.
Not here. Update completed and Q10 loaded. No problems...
Thanks! Online worked just fine!
