Quicken 2011 Graphs

Am I missing something?

Is there no way to compress graphs (e.g. Net Worth) so more than one will be displayed on a screen, rather than having to scroll?

Thanks!

I assume you are referring to the Home page snapshots.

To the best of my knowledge, there has never been any way to directly control the width of those snapshots. The only way to affect them in the past has been by changing the amount of screen space they have available. With the appropriate adjustment to available space, you could get two snapshots side-by-side.

It's my understanding that in Q2011, Intuit made a conscious effort to make the Net Worth snapshot bigger, and it can no longer have any other snapshot alongside.

Thanks for the quick response.

I can't help but think this is another one of those answers without a question. Have users actually asked to scroll more? I realize when lot of data has to be displayed, there's a fine line between displaying all the data and not being able to read it, but surely there's a way to allow users to choose.

Oh, well...

I think allowing more user control for individual snapshots is more difficult than it may first appear.

I have mixed feeelings about the Net Worth snapshot change. I like the idea that I can better visualize long time periods in the Net Worth snapshot with the wider graph (I'd also like to see a "Difference" displayed for the time frame of the graph, as well as for the past year ... which would be easier with the wider graph), but I too would like to have smaller shapshots for shorter time periods.

And yes, I believe there have been requests to make some displays wider. Note the change to "Holdings" for individual investment accounts - a different approach, which wouldn't work very well for Home page snapshots, and has some folks complaining that they can't have their investment accounts open automatically to the "Holdings".

Damned if they do, and damned if they don't.

If nothing else, I'd like to see "Total" in the upper portion of the display, so I wouldn't have to scroll down for a quick view of my Net Worth.

The "total" (the "Net Worth" amount) is in the upper portion (third line) of my Net Worth snapshot. Current assets, current liabilities and net worth are the first 3 content lines in the snapshot (below title bar and heading line).

Is your Net Worth snapshot the first snapshot in the View you're looking at? If not, try making it the first snapshot.

Sorry, I'm starting to confuse "All Accounts" with "Net Worth."

I'd like to see the ability to display more than one Net Worth on a single page (i.e. no scrolling) and Total at the top of my All Accounts page.
