Quicken Mobile Synching with Quicket 2013

Hi,

I updated to Quicken Premier 2013 and all my account balances were reasonable as expected. Then I activated the Quicken Mobil feature with a Cloud account. In a couple of days, I noticed that the majority of my account balances no longer matched. On investigation, it appears that even reconciled transactions were being deleted and some were being duplicated. This has shaken my confidence that Intuit is going to get the mobile solution correct and it's not worth it when the integrity of my financial database is in jeopardy. I've deleted my Cloud account and restored back to before I activated Quicken Mobil. Anyone else notice any problems?

John

What is Quicken Mobile ?

I'm running QD 2012, and only upgrade after my current version gets retired, and I need to have the online component.

I've never much cared for the "walled garden" that Intuit created when they dropped Yahoo Financial for their own version of their online Quicken Financial website. I still checkmark the sync box - but never look at their website, as it is totally useless for any real fiancial info, news, charts, etc - and never matches my desktop accounts.

There are known problems with Mobile.

The suggestion is that you turn syncing off in your regular Quicken file until the problems are worked out ... at least to the point that they do not screw up your desktop data.

Try making a copy of your regular file for testing. Keep syncing (or re-creating, then syncing) that file to see how things are going.

I agree with John. Mobile is definitely not ready for prime time. Q2013's updated budget feature is great though. I'm happily using QD2013 minus Mobile. Once in a while I test Mobile using a copy of my data file.

Thanks John, I understand... if anyone notices it works well for them, I hope they post here. Mobil is nice, but not worth the integrity problems in the desktop database right now. Why Quicken would ever, ever delete reconciled transactions in a register without warning is beyond me... even if it thought they were deleted remotely!
