Quicken Reports / TSR Failure Message

Apr 07, 2005 1 Replies

When running reports, we occasionally receive one of two error messages:

[ ] TSR Failure Message ... -or- [ ] "Quicken's Operating System Memory Is Full (Code 555)"

The computer is a P-4 with 132 Mb RAM, so memory shouldn't be an issue.

Other times, it will fail once, then allow a successful print afterwards.

Other times, when attempting to run an annual report, for instance, it states to NARROW DATE RANGE -- REPORT TOO LARGE TO FIT IN MEMORY". Thus I can't run a lot of annual reports.

If this helps, I'm running Quicken 8.0 Rel. 7 (DOS). Don't laugh.

Any DOS experts out there?

What expanded/extended memory manager are you running? Take a look in CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT to see if there is a parameter that will increase the amount of memory available.
