I've had the same problem after adding a new tender (type). The problem is that the non POS machines that have the manager installed on them can not be Z-ed out and therefore don't get the updated tender information "sent" to them like the POS machines do. So if you have computers that only use the RMS Manager (and who doesn't?) you'll have this problem.
It's been a little while, but the workaround that I came up with is to create a new register (number) for the "manager only" machine(s) and to re-assign the computer in question to this new register (number). I can't remember exactly if I was able to set the manager computer back to its original number after doing this. This also creates a new open batch for that new register for whatever reason. It's never been clear to me why RMS treats manager only machines as registers and creates batches for each of them which just clutters up the system.
P.S. Does anybody know how to get rid of non-POS (manager) batches so they don't show up in the Journal - Update Batch Info in RMS Manager anymore?
Thanks Alex for your quick response. On all my machines, i have installed pos, manager and admin irrespective if it is been used for pos, manager or admin purposes. what is funny to me is that every thing worked fine until a week ago. I know for sure that some where in the program, there is a malfunction. As a result of this problem, i cannot clear the batches.
Generally, the batch is blind closed at the pos and then the z report is printed from manager after the closing amounts are put in. This gives you either an over or short.
All the tenders are > Did you Z out each machines after adding the new? You did add a tender > correct?
