I'm having a very frustrating time downloading some stock quotes. For example I can download mbl.un or spn.un with no problem; but stocks such rpa.pr.a or ylo.un or wfs.pr.a I can't. All trade on TSX. I've tried preceding ticker with t: or replacing periods with -. All to no avail. Thanks

You're right. Finding the ticker symbol that the quote server recognizes can be frustrating. The first place to look is Help. It does a good job of most commonly used symbols. For example, for preferred shares, the convention is to replace the '.PR.' with a minus sign, as in WFS-A. For trust units, try just .U instead of .UN.
I actually tried all those options without luck. It certainly is frustrating.
I can get WFS-A downloaded without any problems. I'm sorry it doesn't work for you.
Thanks for your efforts, however it still doesn't work for me. I've got WFS-A as Symbol. The Type is "Preferred" and the exchange is "Toronto". Don't know what other options I could change. Thanks again.
Fred: I changed the Type from "Preferred" to "Stripped Coupon" and that did the trick. Thanks for your response.
