Are you referring to buys and sells and what do you mean by "not being able to"? Do you get error messages or just garbage?

I allowed TT and Quicken to talk to each other one year and it was not worth the mess. It's much cleaner and easier to download your yearly transactions and 1099 information directly from the brokerage when it becomes available.

I have to agree with Jo. I was audited one year when I missed some of the problems with the Quicken import. Importing the data directly from the brokerage will insure that the tax return has the exact same information that the brokerage files with the IRS. That will minimize the chances of an audit.

This year, after reading this newsgroup, I will also be importing my schedule K1 from my limited partnership investments. That will be a big help.
