Closing old windows

Jan 15, 2012 2 Replies

When I move to a different account, QD11 opens a new window for displaying the register. In the past, it used to close the old window and I like that. I don't like a pile of stale windows that get in the way.

I'll bet there is a configuration setting somewhere that controls this. Can anyone tell me where it is? Thanks.

If you're using Popup registers, Quicken will keep each popup register open until you close it. But, as I recall (and verified in Q2010), that has always been the way Quicken treated popup registers.

You can minimize the popups; and close them all by right-clicking on in the Quicken taskbar and selecting Close All.

Or you can stop using Pop-up registers:

Edit > Preferences > Register

and uncheck "Use Pop-up Registers".
