Transaction Download Problem

Mar 13, 2008 2 Replies

I am using Quicken 2008 with Windows XP. I have accounts at several banks where I download transactions with direct connect if the bank doesn't charge for this service or web connect where the bank charges for direct connect. I have no problems other than with Key Bank where I am using web connect. The downloads from Key worked fine initially, but several months ago I started having problems. When I click on update transactions I receive an information box saying that internet explorer cannot display the webpage. This problem started when I was using Quicken 2005 and has continued with the update to 2008. Neither Quicken tech support or Key Bank tech support have been of any help. They basically blame each other. I have no problem with the other banks. Any suggestions?

Did you allow Microsoft to upgrade your computer to IE7?

Some folks have reported problems with IE7 and intuit products. The normal solution is to uninstall IE7 from Control Panel>>Add/remove programs.

I found, after upgrading to IE7, whenever I click on download transactions from my bank's website, I have to hold down the ctrl key at the same time, to get the transactions to download into Quicken.. Something to do with popup blocker perhaps, not sure. But it works for me.
