Trial Versions

I've been using Quicken from v8.0 - v8.2 - Cash Book 2004 (Australian versions), the later two being upgrades on a Vista HP machine.

Cash Book does all I want. I have a few low volume Bank accounts, Credit card, couple of Shares, a few Fixed Term Deposits. The only problem I have is when I migrate to a new computer I have to go through a process of installing from the original (8.0), then registering that, and doing both upgrades and registering them.

As I'm thinking of upgrading my PC I thought I'd look at the local trial versions - on my laptop so as not to interfere with my existing installation on my desktop.

First I tried the Personal Plus but this was not suitable as it could not convert my existing data (too basic).

Then I downloaded the Home and Business version and when I enter the supplied key at the activation stage - I am told my trial period has expired. Which is wrong. The installation then aborts.

I have tried deleting all folders and files, and running a Software Removal Tool I located - to no avail. I have emailed Quicken but have had no reply other than saying I have to activate - which of course is where my problem starts.

Any ideas please?

Bill

Thanks for all the suggestions. lol
