TurboTax 2009 SLOW

Hi, Bobster.

I just installed TT09 Basic a few minutes ago. I didn't notice any slowness. My computer WAS fast when I built it 3 years ago and is still reasonably quick. (AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000 w/4 GB RAM and plenty of SATA HDD space) I had to Remove the program and install it again because I put it into the wrong folder the first time, but that was MY mistake.

I've not entered data except for importing from TTax 08 and Quicken 2010 to get just a preliminary look for clues as to what stocks I need to sell before year-end. I did add a couple of "what-if" numbers. All seemed to work at normal speeds.

TurboTax 2009 is incredibly slow. They changed the form format as you can see to use some different image engine. I have a ton of memory, disk space and a fast processor. It is at least 50%+ slower than previous versions. I have the Deluxe version. Horrible. Next year they need to shape up.......
