TurboTax and JPMorgan Chase d/l (and I assume others)

So I noticed that when I attempt to download my transactions (eg:1099-INTs) from JPMorgan Chase using TurboTax this year, I am being asked to sign into some Intuit server, or create an account to do so.

Is this a new thing from last year? I don't recall, and I guess I am not too thrilled with the idea of going through a third party now if so. Must be other FIs as well?

OTOH, Intuit already sees everything anyway when I submit the return electronically to the IRS and State tax authorities...so I probably shouldn't be that concerned.

Comments??

Went through the same process with Schwab. I do believe it is new. There was no explanation why. At least I can not find one. TT desktop version.

Thanks...haven't done mine yet, but Schwab is also indeed in my mix. (I did my kiddies over the weekend). I suppose that is the way to go. The details on any Schedule D sale and the supporting documents for LT and ST capital gains and dates are tremendously a PITA to enter on one's own.

Thanks for confirming.
