can i get out of this

Hi

I have a query that i would be interested to hear your opinions, A few years ago i run a credit brokerage where i would arrange various types of finance agreements; i set up an agency with this particular lender basically the agreement stated that any commission clawbacks would be my liability for the remainder of the existing loan .I closed the business about 2 years ago and i paid them a large amount of money in clawbacks about a year ago and they said that hopefully but no guarantees they would break the contract and i would not have any further liabilities. Just the other day i received another letter saying that i am liable for another clawback what i want to know is if i don't pay it what is the worse thing they can do to me? apart from a CCJ which no doubt they would enjoy buggering my credit record, could they try and make me bankrupt or some sort of admin order, could they force the debt as a charge on my property. i have no legal grounds to dispute it because technically im still under contract but for those in the know what would you do? I was thinking of being diplomatic with them but they are really the arm pit of the lending industry some how i don't think i will get very far with them. any suggestions?

very kind regards

QS

I'm surprised you are being critical of them when you appear to be the unprincipled party.
