Which company? I did the same as you last week - twice - and on both occasions the website made clear *before* the purchase that I would have to print my own documents. Or, alternatively, pay extra - I think £5 - to get some sent to me.

I assume it's not motor insurance as I think you need a 'real' insurance certificate for the police.

If you really need a hard copy you can print it to pdf and then let whoever needs the copy print it off.

Swiftcover do entirely online print-your-own motor insurance certificates, so I'd assume that was OK otherwise their business model would be up the spout.

I want to take it next time I have a crap and have a good read. I want to take it to bed and read through it. I want to read and mark-up the bits I wish to query? I want to discuss the document face to face with someone. I want to take the document to a meeting? I want to file paper copies in a file. I want to get in to a pointless debate as to why I would want to print it off.
