Experian - their organisation is a pig's breakfast

Back in February I applied for a free trial of Experian's CreditExpert. I had to send them documents for the purpose of identification (the usual bank statements etc.).

A couple of weeks later I emailed them because I still had not received my login details. No reply. Another email was sent asking what was happening with my documents. A while later I received a reply confirming receipt of my documentation, approval of my application and explaining that they were experiencing a technical problem with their systems. That was at the beginning of March. I never received my login details nor my documents back. Since then I have sent them a couple of further emails asking for my docs - NO REPLY.

So, that kind of organization is the one people rely on with their credit scoring?

It's not just Experian, in my experience, it's Equifax. I've got wrong linked address information on my file and despite two letters and three emails from them telling me it's been removed, whenever I get another copy of my credit file from Equifax, the information is still there. I've written to them five times, submitted disputes via their website, and now I've written to the Information Commission. Not that that made any difference. Information Commission just wrote back and said they were really busy and they'll deal with my query, eventually. I'm now not sure exactly what I should do. Sending correspondence to Equifax is liking sending something into a black hole - nothing ever comes back.

Would the Office of Fair Trading or Trading Standards be interested in this, or does everything have to go thru' Information Commission?
