How to pay Nationwide credit card form Nationwide Internet banking...

Thought I would be able to simply transfer money from one account to another and it would credit the CC acount, but it seems that I'm not able to do that. So how's it done? Sorry for my ignorance, not had the account for long and don't know my way around internet banking fully yet.

You have to set up a bill payment from your Flexaccount the same as you would for any other bill. The payment takes 5 days.

Five!? With my Internet banking at Barclays-Barclaycard it would arrive next working day.

I've not got a Nationwide CC, but if you go to transfers and select Flexaccount as the From account, can you select the CC as the To account?

I don't think so, I have a bill payment set from from my Flexaccount to the CC. The quoted maximum is five days, but it "usually" appears in two.

No, that's what I tried to do the first time, but it wasn't available as an option.

Just a though. I guess there is some separation between the BS and the CC operation.

Nationwide credit card is run by someone else - if you contact Nationwide they tell you to phone some number.

I believe the company that run it for them is FDR Ltd. I remember the DD payments to settle my Nationwide credit cards bills used to show that name as the payee on my bank statement.

Yes. :-)

Open your FlexAccount. Go to: Payments & Transfers. Choose: Set up new bill payment.

Nationwide have a newish whizzy database of all kinds of bill issuers which allows you to set up a bill payment without having to type in any details (other than your customer reference).

Select: Credit card bill from part 1. Select: Nationwide credit cards from part 2.

etc..

Works for me!

Yes but if you look up the thread that wasnt the question, which was could the payment be made as a 'transfer' i.e. an instant transfer between NW accounts rather than as a 'bill payment' (which is what you describe) which takes a number of days.
