For some reason on my NatWest Mastercard statement, a Visa number has mysteriously appeared. Any ideas why?
Also, there are so many menus when trying NW card services again, that it is a bloody irritation!

Point one is that they issue joint visa/mc accounts, and you have two numbers. This is, like me, you never asked or have seen the other card!! Bizarre system.
As to point two, if I could ever find the w**ker who invented those automatic telephone systems, I cannot tell you what I would do to him! Theirs is not the worst, but I once spent 25 mins getting through to someone about a complaint.

No but from what they told me it appeared on many statements 'by mistake' and as another poster has said they always issue you with both numbers for some reason.

I like them personally. First Direct have the 'personal approach' where you always get through to a person but I'd rather check my balance without having to make the effort to be nice and polite to someone. Mrs Automated Telephone System doesn't care if I hang up on her mid-sentence which is why I like her.
