PCWB incompetence

Today I sent the following email to PCWB:

"On 27/07/10 I used the Contact PCWB form

formatting link
I quoted my name and email address but to date I have not received a reply. On 29/07/10 I phoned Customer Services 0844 873 0730 and despite none of the options being relevant to my enquiry (who decides on such inefficient options?) I was eventually put through to a lady who asked for my account number (which is XXXXXXX) and said she would put me through to the "relevant department" - which appeared to be some musical recital department. After 5 minutes I didn't see the relevance of this department and put the phone down.

It appears that your company has big problems in dealing with queries. Is there anybody in your organisation who is interested in dealing with my query? If there is, can you please ask them to retrieve my original query and respond to it?

If this is too much of a trouble please ask the person responsible for this state of affairs to contact me."

Why would anybody set up a business and let it be so inefficient?

Peter Saxton gurgled happily, sounding much like they were saying:

It's Dixons. Do you need to ask?

Because it's cheaper than actually dealing with customer service queries, and it appears that no matter how bad their reputation is, people are still stupid enough to pay their ridiculously high prices.

I don't see anybody selling the Fujitsu Scansnap s1500 significantly cheaper.

Even if that were true - which a two-minute google shows it isn't - it doesn't impact upon the primary point of my post.

It is true. The only companies selling them significantly cheaper don't have them in stock or have put the price up.

That is a common experience, not only with the Scansnap. There is an old joke about two pie shops in the high street which dates back at least 60 years.
