Hi,
Thinking ahead. I sent both my company return and Corporation Tax at the beginning of last week. They probably are lying in a sorting / delivery office somewhere being singulalry unsorted and undelivered. After all the time and effort I put into getting the work done to prepare these docs on time I am incensed that I am likely to be fined because of non-delivery. Companies House web site effectively says - your problem to deliver, the fact you put it in post box rather than delivering the return by hand is your fault, mate. I sould have realised I could have paid the Corporation Tax Giro over the counter at a bank or Post Office (no chance!)
So ... who do I sue when the fines come along?
How do I take out an action? Small claims Court?
I probaly won't succeed because merely putting mail in a post-box there is probably no contract to deliver the item so they aren't liable - but trying to sue them will at least make me feel better.
