Re: Credit Card Fraud, Lloyds TSB dragging their feet help please.

Quick background, I went to Australia a year ago for a year and made

Apparently the case has been refered to their "Fraud >Contest Department" ?? Surely there is no way in which they can hold >me liable as Consumer Credit Act 1974 should apply even though i >forgot to change my address, i've been a very loyal customer of lloyds >for over 10 years and have put a lot of business through them. > >Any help would be much appreciated.

I personally would just forget about it for the time being unless they wish to get in touch with you. You haven't been negligent so hopefully there shouldn't be anything for you to worry about. My bank won't send my credit card to my home address to prevent things like this happening, I have to collect it.

I guess this could work with high street banks, but most credit card companies like Amex, Morgan Stanley etc seem to operate from a central office so would be a long trip for many people.

Which bit applies here?

I cant see how LloydsTSB can be liable if they didnt know the card had been nicked.
