Just tried to report an email scam to the Halifax. - The 0845 number wanted all kinds of personal details about *me*. Mind your owndamn business. - Their "email fraud" web page has no way of reporting email fraud. - Their abuse@ and webmaster@ email addresses are blocked; TO:: new mail, add 194.217.242.91 to forwarding or use smtp authentication new mail, add 194.217.242.91 to forwarding or use smtp authentication Fine. I hope their customers get reamed up the arse with telegraph poles. Icertainly shan't bother ever again.

I'm not sure what that is. We have sales tax when we shop. We don't get that back.

It's a sales tax. The gubbmint put 17.5% on just about everything apart from, err, food, and children's shoes. Prices are *always* quoted inclusive of VAT, except by computer manufacturers who will splash £449 in bold type and have £527.58 in small type underneath.

Which happens to be the price of a new 800MHz / 6GB / 192 MB slaptop from Higrade. Incredible, innit?
