bisk cpa review

Is the Bisk CPA review course and study materials / lessons any good? Any comments and/or feedback from folks "in the know" on this CPA review service? What about the 100% $ back guarentee? Worth the $ and time invested?

thanx.......

Bisk is worse than Becker, and I think Becker is not that great.

Personally, used Gleim self study. Their computer questions are so much better and allow you to focus on specific areas in which you are week. It has been a couple years, but I passed all 4 parts the old way (at once) while most of my friends who used Becker only conditioned by passing 2-3 parts.

thanx Matt for the feedback, did you test under the "new format", or the "old cpa format"??

aprox what did the Gliem program cost you ??

thanx...

Sorry it was Gleim

I tested under the old format, in Arizona we had to take all four parts at once, the first time. You had to condition by passing 2, and 50% or more on the other parts, or take all 4 again.

Several other people I knew also used Gleim and did much better. I still recommend it to people I know who are taking the new format. You can by the software for $50 a section. It used to be that if you School was registered with Gleim (and you still had a valid school e-mail address like snipped-for-privacy@asu.edu) you could order the complete package (software, books and cds) for under $500. But the whole package was still only $1000.

From what I hear Becker is pretty expensive these days, and I don't know about the one you asked about price wise. I think Gleim is probably still on of the best values out there. If you chose another format, at least order the software from Gleim to supplement your studying, at $50 a section is it a good deal. The funciton I really liked is it broke each section into 20 or more sub-sections. After you finished say 100 questions, it would tell you your rating is each sub-sction of say auditing, and then you could just request 50-100 for your weakest sections. Do that and get up to 85% using the software and you will pass the actual test.

cool...thanx for the feedback.....I would appreciate any other folks "out there" who have ideas and/or opinons on the test prep, study guides, and software packages avail today .... As alwaysl... thanx for any ideas from the " group at large "

I have it now, but haven't gotten very far into it. Once I've had some time to plug through a section or two, I'll try to remember to post something back here :)
