1st Data as CC Processor

In one post someone mentioned that 1st Data worked as a CC processor with RMS? I've not seen this documented anywhere? We currently use 1st Data but still have ICVerify. I would love to discontinue ICVerify and use RMS only - especially since ICVerify has to be upgraded in near future for compliance and support issues.

You would have to use PC Charge or ICVerify. RMS alone does not support First Data.

First Data can process thru Vital, and we are doing that way. They charge extra (about .05/transaction), but with the rates we have with them, no one else could come close. It took some pushing to find someone that finally understood and was able to get us setup. The first time I inquired, I was told they could not process RMS transactions, but once they understood the transactions just had to be routed thru Vital, they got it done.

TPI?s SmartPayments Client + RMS Plug-in can connect to First Data?s Concord EFSNet Platform directly or the SmartPayments Client + Server can connect to all the First Data Platforms. For more information please contact TPI at 425-882-0921

Marc, can we talk offline about this? I did have First Data send me a setup sheet for Vital, but I've not been able to successfully get the data in the right spots in RMS. I would much appreciate your help. I can be reached at

I had to call Vital to walk me thru the setup page because the names on the setup sheet from First Data don't exactly match the field names in RMS. Once you know what goes where it only takes a minute. I think I have a cheat sheet at work. I'll try to get a hold of you tomorrow (Thursday)

With the help of Marc I got this to work. THANKS Marc!

Real key was in the setup info sent me by 1st Data, the "V Number" started with a V. This had to be changed to a "7" in RMS.
