I have been experiencing time outs on some stores where the connections are slow. I changed the registry (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ Software\ Microsoft\ Retail Management System\ Headquarters\ Client\ Timeout\ Message) from the default 3600 to 2 times that value (7200). It still timed out and out of curiosity checked on the registry and it had gone back to the default value of 3600.
Why does it change back?
