I deleted an alias which was stored in an item code. I then wanted to add the same alias code into a different item code but get the following message
you entered an alias that is already being used as an item lookup code or alias for another code
I have checked there are no other codes which has this alias.

Search your Inactive numbers too! Run a Alias report, delete the Inactive filter and run it. Then run a Worksheet 200 to make the item active again..
I would also run an SQL statement from Admin direct on the alias table. to see if there is an existing bar code there on an item that was not created at HQ (if in fact you have HQ).

Item ID is then used here to find the item in the item table (not item in SO).
