Barcode Label Printing

I'm looking for some advice on formatting barcode labels. I'm real close on getting everything touched up just so, but the printing itself isn't coming out clear. The lettering itself is pixilated, as if the dot overlap isn't doing its job.

Here is a sample label I'm working off.

[INITIALIZE] [LABEL] ! 0 100 90 1 WIDTH 224 PITCH 300 U B40(2,1,0)20 15 STRING 18X23 20 50 BT 12X16 BARCODE CODE128B 300 55 45 END [FINALIZE]

System setup: RMS 2.0 Printer: Advantage DLX (thermal transfer) Editor: Notepad

Adjusting the pitch just seems to put the label out of the parameters the printer can handle. I'm so close on this I can taste it! If anyone has suggestions on what to try next, I'm all fingers.

Thanks,

-Todd
