Barcode On Receipt

Is it possible to scan the barcode that is at the bottom of the recept when performing a Return at the POS. This would be much simpler than having to select a date range and then looking for the transaction.

You need to set the Transaction number to something large enough to provide a valid scan. I usually set it to start at 10001. You can do this in SO Administrator - use File/Connect to log into the database, then use Database/Set Next Transaction Number.

Hi all. You can also set a macro key to go right to where it is ready to scan then transaction number - perhaps this is a function that should be built in already, but it isn't. Fire off the macro recorder and key to the point where it is ready for input and save it to a macro key set. (Right Glenn?)

Glenn,

I don't follow. Are you saying that with a 5-digit transaction number there is a way to recall a transaction for refund without having to set a date range?

Thanks,
