batches

We have a girl that blind closed her register. The manager was closing it out this am and it told her she could not do it in offline mode and it kicked her out. She was not in offline mode. Now the z report is gone and the journal viewer doesn't show it. How can I retrive that z report or reopen the batch?

Sounds like the register went into offline mode - I guess that was one of the ones that was working...

Read the on-line help regarding Off-line mode. When a register goes offline (or rather when it comes back form offline I guess), the original batch is blind closed by the system. Then a new batch is opened and the offline transactions are synced into the second batch. I think that batch is also blind closed and a third is opened to resume normal operation, but I may be wrong about that that second blind close...

Once a batch has been blind closed, you can can edit it's open/close amounts and generate a Z from Manager, but not from POS. It's on the Journal menu - again, read the help file for "Blind Closed"

This is from one of the stores that works and always has. On the others the setup goes as planned and everything sync just fine. But as soon as you put one transaction and then try to go back online and sync it errors with errors that I posted earlier. That is an ongoing issue I have called Microsoft and I will sending them my database so that they can recreate the problem.
