I am new to how some of this works, so bear with me.
I was hoping that I would be able to open and close a batch for each day.
For example,
10/22/09 Opening Deposits at 10AM.
10/22/09 Closing Deposits at 7PM.
Z Report and Settle transactions.
It then, as you have stated, opens a new batch with the dated 10/22/09 at 7PM.
So, the next day (10/23/09) when I open I am using the batch created 10/22/09 at 7PM and not 10/23/09 at 10AM. If I ZZ, then it creates a new batch with the correct start date and time for the day.
So, am I to understand that the dates, time, etc for the batches don't matter?
