Does anyone know of a way to make an item, that is a compilation of a group of other items (a bundle), that will not print the retail cost(s) of said items, just the total price of the bundle?

Have you tried a Kit item?
All I have is :
Standard Matrix Lot Matrix Assembly
Create a Standard item, then go in to the properties and you will see "Item Type" on the right-hand side of the General tab. Select "Kit" from this list, and then look at the Kit tab.
