say I create a matrix for tee shirts - and define two colors, white and blue I save my matrix and sell the tee shirts then the vendor tells me this same tee shirt I can now order in red is there a way to edit the existing matrix item to add the "red" attribute?
In version 2 you can add this. In version 2 and before you can also use the RR Fashion Bundle to enhance the matrix capabilities of the system and add to existing Matrix. For more info contact me
First select one of the items in the matrix and click COPY. Make the item lookup code the next in the series for your matrix.
Keep doing this until you have all the items (small, med, large in the new color).
THEN
open up one of the items already in the matrix and click the "M" in the MEMBER OF box to get to the attributes window.
CLICK "ADD" Then, add existing item. Add the new items you just made to the existing matrix.
Make sure you go into the ATTRIBUTES and copy all the cost, prices, and extended descriptions down to the new items as well as assign the new COLOR to those new items you added.
Update your supplier reorder number for each of the items and you are done.
