anyone know how many charters and lines are printed per square inch on an opos printer

The receipt from RMS is C:\Program Files\Microsoft Retail Management System\Store Operations\ReceiptTemplates\receipt.xml by default. It (& the OPOS) don't really spec that. See your docs from the printer manufacturer.
