Could not connect to the database

I am able to connect to my distant database from other pcs but not from this one. I did test the connection and it says "Database successfully connected" and I am able to go in File / Connect and connect successfully. But when I open Manager, I get a message saying "Could not connect to the database". I tried going back in the Administrator under "File / Configuration" and it looks like the password is not getting saved. Even though I click on OK, it is not memorizing the password as everytime I get in there I have to rechange it before doing a successful test. Has anyone experienced that before? What would you suggest in this case?

Log into Windows as an administrator Enter your settings in SO Admin File/Configure

Your settings will be saved and you can log in as a limited Windows user in the future...
