I have several 'types' of customer in my business - Discount Club, Food Club, BBQ Club, Account Holder, Staff Member etc - is there some way i can set it up that i can catagorise all these customers into the above types? Can i use the account type field?

You can, for those who don't actually need credit on account you can leave it set to 0. Or you can use one of the Custom Text fields, the downside with this is typing. You have to retype what club the customer belongs to every time you create a new customer. Which leaves room for error.
