Would like to get input into Daily closeout process. We do the following:
Step 1: F8 to check the cash in the register. Step 2: Do a payout of any amount over $150. Step 3: Enter the closeout amount. Step 4: Run Z report
Any input if there is a better way to do a closeout would be appeciated, thx.

Why the > $150 payout?
Just record all of the money in the closing total.
If you leave $150 in the drawer at nite, that's your opening amount.
Be sure to leave the drawer open at night so the thieves don't break anything trying to get to it!! It usually costs _more_ to fix their breakage.
Step 1: F5 Verify or enter opening amounts, it pops drawer Step 2: Do X report Step 3: Count drawer Step 4: Enter Closing amounts Step 5: Do another X Report. Evaluate over & shorts. Step 6: Do Z or ZZ report Step 7: Enter opening amounts & deposit the rest.
