hey everyone, i am trying to run an external program through custom POS button. Its a .bat file but the problem is RMS dosent wait for program to finish it just jumps back to pos screen. i choose external program (wait) option in properties for custom button. can somebody please tell me how to solve this problem. thank you in advance

Maybe put a PAUSE statement in the .bat file? It will ask to press a key to continue.

thank you for your reply jeff . another related problem is when i run the batch file from RMS it runs from the desktop therefore in the command window i see the path for the desktop. can anybody tell me how i can change the path in the dos window so it runs from a different drive instead of desktop. thank you, shoby
