Hi Akber, Can you email that template to me directly at marc snipped-for-privacy@hotmail.com. Please remove the "XYZ" from the above for the actual address.

Also, is there a list of variables for inserting into the reports?

Hello again Akber,

Is there a way for one computer to use the 40 col reciept for a z report but for a backoffice laptop to use another (full page z report). also, I could not find the full page report you were speaking of...

Thanks, Jay snipped-for-privacy@agee.com

Do you have the 40-col receipt printer on the back office comp? Does the front office with the 40-col have a full page that they use as well?

You can set the front to always print to 40-col and ask cashier if they want to print to full page. Naturally, this would mean the cashier would have to say 'no' to print to receipt printer 2 (assuming that is where your full page is listed on the front office comp).

The other option you have gets a little sloppier - but is not awful: I am just going to guess that you have two types of receipt templates - 40-column and full page of similar naming conventions. I would copy the existing full page - calling it something like "back office full page", and then set the receipt template to be used under the back office comps: SO Mgr> Database> Registers> Register List> Back Office Reg #> Properties> Receipt printer tab (that is full page)> Set receipts = "back office full page" that you had just created.

Then you will have to remove the XandZ report from the original full page receipt template as bundled for the front office comp.

Now - if you are reprinting 40-cols on the back office comp as well, you will probably need to use the steps above and copy the 40-col, recreating it for back office, etc.

With regards to the report - I have not really looked for your initial post - or the response received - but I might guess that Akber is talking about the full page Z that is on customer source.

Hello Jocelyn,

I think you have opened my eyes... I just need a full page "report" on the back office computer that I could filter by date and not a actual "receipt"... The current full page Z report does not offer a filter by date....

Thanks aga> Do you have the 40-col receipt printer on the back office comp? Does the

Hi Jay,

You are correct in that the Z-Report does not filter by date, or really any filters. "Report" is kind of the sneaky part of the Zs name, as it is more of a 'summary' and not true report as we are used to is RMS - but still traditional retail lingo.

Depending on what you are extracting from the Zs, you can easily create a series of Z reports in the memorized section (by stripping back the pieces of the Z you need). Additionally, I have done a small amount of work with Z summaries - but that was a while ago. I will dig through some of my older stuff this week and see what I have - in case something might help you out.
